I made this paper illustration as a Christmas gift for my mother (and my dad, but it was kind of my mom's idea :) ) Last year, when she saw the Three Billikin Whiskers, I knew she'd like one of her own, so I talked to her about what she might like. She suggested trees in different seasons, so I thought about it and visualized it in my head... and procrastinated... and finally buckled down and started it the week before Christmas. Once I got going, it came together quickly. The summer tree was the most challenging for me to execute, for some reason. But I am immensely pleased with how it turned out! So here are lots and lots of pictures...
